Trinity Blood - Manga
Trinity Blood is a series of Japanese light novels written by Sunao Yoshida. From the novels came the anime and manga adaptations, but all three works are significantly different- unique in their own right. Sunao Yoshida passed away from a lung blockage at the young age of 34 shortly after the production of the Trinity Blood anime series was announced. The Trinity Blood manga is drawn by manga-ka Kiyo Kuujou, and the still ongoing work is serialized in the Shoujo Manga Anthology, Monthly Asuka, premiering in 2004.
Individual chapters are called "Acts", and the chapter titles are based on Novel and Anime Episode titles, except for chapter 22, the title of which comes from "the lyrics of the theme song of a certain pioneering kendo anime". The individual chapters are collected and published in tankōbon volumes by Kadokawa Shoten, often featuring images by Thores Shibamoto. The first was released on March 17, 2004; as of August 2009, 12 volumes have been released.
The series is licensed for English-language release in North America by Tokyopop. In Australia and New Zealand, both the Chuang Yi and Tokyopop volumes are being released by Madman Entertainment through an importation agreement.
Genres: fantasy, horror, science fiction, supernatural
