Episode Summaries
Episode 01 - Flight Night
Father Abel Nightroad is on board an airship when it is hijacked by the vampire Count Alfred Meinz, who intends to crash the airship into the Vatican. Abel regains control of the ship using his unexpected knowledge of Lost technology. Jessica, a stewardess on board, flies the ship while Abel fights Alfred. Their battle takes them to the top of the airship where Abel reveals he is a Crusnik, a vampire that feeds on the blood of other vampires. Abel quickly dispatches Alfred, with help from Father Tres Iqus and a Vatican airship.
Episode 02 - Witch Hunt
Fathers Abel and Tres are sent to investigate the murder of several vampires. They encounter a young girl named Eris Wasmayer who possesses psychic powers, including the ability to manipulate people's minds. Abel refuses to allow Tres to kill the child, causing Tres to target Abel as a traitor. After Eris is kidnapped by vampires, Abel goes to rescue her while trying to avoid being killed by Tres. After Abel rescues Eris, Tres finds them and claims he cannot kill them as he has run out of bullets. Then they are attacked by more vampires and Tres shoots them without needing to reload.
Episode 03 - The Star of Sorrow I. City of Blood
Father Abel is sent to Istvan, a city ruled by the vampire Count Gyula Kadar, to discover a secret weapon, but in the process he becomes involved with both Sister Esther Blanchett and Count Gyula, both of whom are set on a path to destruction, in their thirst for revenge. Esther is a troubled nun who he learns killed one of the Gyula's lieutenants to avenge the murder of her foster mother. At the urging of a man named Dietrich von Lohengrin, Esther plans to carry out another assassination. However, Gyula's troops arrive, kill Dietrich, capture Abel and Esther, then burn down the church.
Episode 04 - The Star of Sorrow II. Hunter's Banquet
Father Abel and Sister Esther are taken to Count Gyula and learn that he plans to use a system called the "Star of Sorrow" to annihilate the humans of Istvan. Gyula's wife loved humans and built the Star of Sorrow to provide energy for to help them. While out on the city aiding humans, she was murdered, prompting Gyula's hatred for humans and desire for revenge. The three discover that Dietrich, who was also working for Gyula, reprogrammed the Star of Sorrow to destroy the world in an effort to restart the war between Terrans (humans) and Methuselah (vampires). Abel destroys the Star of Sorrow and Gyula kills himself.
Episode 05 - Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow
Father Abel escorts Sister Esther to the Vatican in Rome to be trained in combat operations, where she meets Cardinal Caterina and several Ax members. When Esther becomes lost on the vast grounds, she meets a young man under a trellis who is crying and feels unable to perform his duties. She gives him encouragement before Tres comes to retrieve her and she learns who the young boy really is.
Episode 06 - Sword Dancer
Father Hugue de Watteau is sent to investigate the mass murder at a church in Amsterdam. Hugue rescues Sister Agnes, the sole witness of the murder, from a vampire attack. They are later captured by a regional vampire who wants to use a machine to probe the Agnes's memories to find out who did the murders. Hugue is tied up and put in a pit where he must fight for his life against a werewolf. Agnes evades her vampire capturers to retrieve Hugue's staff and throw it down to him. The head vampire badly wounds Agnes, which sends Hugue into a murderous rage. After making quick work of the werewolf, he kills all of the vampires in the building.
Episode 07 - Never Land
Former AX member Father Leon Garcia de Asturias is released from prison to join Father Abel in investigating Never Land Island, where Professor Barrie was running an orphanage. The island has no adults, only the kids, who are under the leadership of Wendy and her friend Peter. Through his research, Professor Barrie had turned all of the children into fairy-like vampires, except for Peter, who seemed immune to the process. When Wendy and the other children try to kill Abel and Leon, Peter helps them, causing Wendy to badly wound him. Abel and Leon destroy the "Tinkerbell System" which gave the children the ability to sync their movements with one another and their faerie-wings. When Leon moves to kill Wendy, Peter protects her. Realizes she was mistaken in her hatred of adults, Wendy apologized. Not wanting the children to be killed, Leon and Abel put the children onto a cargo freighter bound for The Kingdom of Albion.
Episode 08 - Silent Noise
Father Abel and Sister Noélle Bor are sent to investigate the unexplained collapse of the National Palace in Barcelona, only to be told it was caused by structural integrity issues. They use the break to explore the city and a drunken Noélle tells Abel she is in love with him, but he gently rejects her. That evening Abel investigates a pharmaceutical company and finds the body of Professor Barrie. Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer appears and tells Abel about a machine called "Silent Noise" which is capable of destroying entire cities in moments. He then activates the weapon and destroys much of Barcelona. In the devastation, Noélle is killed. Abel is able to destroy the system, but Isaak escapes.
Episode 09 - Overcount I. The Belfry of Downfall
Archbishop Alfonso d'Este returns to Rome for the first time in five years, after losing the papal election. He brings with him a bell and an obelisk for the Vatican. Meanwhile, Abel has descended into a deep depression over Noélle's death and his perceived failure to protect her. Esther tries to get him to return to the Vatican but fails and he resigns from his position in the AX unit. The agents suspect that the bell Alfonso has brought contains a Silent Noise device, but when it is rung, nothing happens.
Episode 10 - Overcount II. Lucifer's Choice
Cardinal Caterina is held under house arrest for her suspicion of Archbishop Alfonso, however her suspicions were not wrong as Alfonso is in league with the Rosenkreuz Orden. Knowing he would be suspected, the Silent Noise system was put in the obelisk instead of the bell. When the AX team figures this out, Alfonso tries to set a monster on them, but they are able to kill the monster, destroy the Silent Noise machine, and capture Alfonso. Realizing Caterina is in danger, Abel returns and finds her under threat from Isaak. Abel activates his 80% Crusnik mode, after being in his 40% Crusnik mode, but when he has the opportunity, he hesitates to kill Isaak due to a vow he made to never kill again. Isaak escapes again and Abel collapses in agony.
Episode 11 - From the Empire
In Venice, Father Abel teams up with a Methuselah agent of The New Human Empire, Duchess Astharoshe Asran, to hunt down the vampire mass murderer Enderle Koutza. Astha has a personal grudge against Enderle because he murdered her former partner. She also has a great deal of contempt for Terran interference in The New Human Empire matters and has no desire to work with Abel. When they find Enderle, Astha begins an explosive fight with him that wounds and kills many innocent Terrans, as well as wounding Abel. She deeply regrets the loss of life she causes, and plans to return to The New Human Empire, but as she is leaving they realize Enderle is planning to kill the visiting Pope. They catch up to him again and, working together, are able to get through his formidable defense system to capture him for trial.
Episode 12 – The Iblis I. Evening Visitors
While Cardinal Caterina is waiting for a meeting with an Imperial Messenger, an explosion occurs in the complex, prompting fears of an assassination attempt. Ion Fortuna, the Imperial Messenger and the Earl of Memphis, attempts to deliver the message to Caterina, but is mistaken for the assassin and shot by Father Tres before escaping. At Caterina's request, Father Abel goes to find him to arrange another meeting. When Abel reaches Ion's hiding place, he finds Sister Esther there to capture Ion. To her dismay, Abel slaps her and sternly rebukes her for disobeying his direct order. As he negotiations with Ion and his companion Radu Barvon, they find themselves under attack by the The Department of Inquisition. This leads to Abel facing off against Brother Petro Orcini. However, after failing to negotiate with Petro, Abel falls off the balcony into the sea after an explosive attack by Petro.
Episode 13 - The Iblis II. Betrayal Blaze
Sister Esther, Earl Ion, and Radu flee from the execution squad and try to meet with Cardinal Caterina again. Father Abel and Sister Esther try to help Ion and Radu escape, but Radu turns out to be a terrorist extremist in league with the Rosenkreuz Orden. Radu attacks and injures Ion but Abel arrives on a boat to rescue Esther and him. However, The Department of Inquisition arrives and Sister Paula Souwauski kills Radu, while Brother Petro tries to kill Abel a second time but fails. Abel, Ester, and Ion manage to escape, with Petro tagging along, to Catherina's palace. Once there, Ester treats Ion's injury, while he reflects on his memories about Radu.
Episode 14 - The Iblis III. A Mark of Sinner
Dietrich and a still living Radu take over control of The Department of Inquisition air ships and ground troops. Dietrich uses the ships to attack the city, while Radu goes after Father Abel, Sister Esther, Brother Petro and Earl Ion. He fires on the group with a tank and when the smoke clears, Esther, Petro, and Ion are laying in pools of blood, seemingly dead. Abel flies into a rage, activating his 80% Crusnik mode and feeding on Ion's spilled blood. He terrifies Radu, who is ill matched against Abel. Abel kills Radu and appears to be going to finish feeding on the rest of Ion's blood when Esther awakens and calls to him, helping him come back to his senses.
Episode 15 - The Night Lords I: The Return of Envoy
Father Abel and Sister Ester accompany Earl Ion back to Byzantium, the capital of The New Human Empire. They go to meet with the Duchess Mirka Fortuna, Duchess of Moldova and Ion's grandmother, only to find everyone in the mansion dead, including Mirka. While there they are attacked first by the minions of the Rosenkreuz Orden and later by soldiers from The New Human Empire who believe Ion is the one who murdered Mirka. They escape and find refuge at Duchess Astha's mansion.
Episode 16 - The Night Lords II. Twilight of the Capital
Father Abel and Duchess Astha head to Empress Augusta Vradica's palace for the meeting in an attempt to clear Earl Ion's name. Meanwhile, Sister Esther and Earl Ion search for Menmarl, a former servant of Countess Mirka, with some help from a young girl named Seth Nightlord. When Ester and Ion reach Menmarl's home, they find him badly wounded and dying. Before he dies, he tells Ion that Radu is the one who killed Mirka. They are attacked by a Death Hunter, a monster created by the Rosenkreuz Orden. Though Ion is able to kill it, Esther is badly injured during the battle. Seth reappears to help Ion treat Esther's wounds.
Episode 17 - The Night Lords III. The Island of her Darling Children
While Sister Esther is recovering from her injuries, Earl Ion encounters Radu again. Radu tells him he is going to assassinate Empress Augusta during the funeral of Duchess Mirka. He also taunts Ion with suspicions about Esther, telling him about the death of Esther's foster mother. Confused by her not telling him about it, and letting Radu's words get to him, he picks a fight with Esther. He leaves her to recover while he seeks out Radu to kill him before he can kill the Empress.
Episode 18 - The Night Lords IV. The Palace of Jade
Father Abel and Duchess Astha continue to try to stop the assassination attempt on Empress Augusta. Earl Ion recklessly tries kill Radu during the funeral procession, but is easily defeated. Radu moves to kill Ion, but then turns the blow aside at the last moment and instead tells Ion to flee and that the Order is conspiring to kill Augusta. Ion is confused by Radu's seeming change of heart, but then Radu attacks again. Esther arrives and tries to help but is captured as well. Augusta orders them to be taken for questioning, while Abel and Astha watch from nearby. As Abel and Astha continue on to the Moldova Mausoleum, an explosion kills Augusta. Esther and Ion are locked in a cell together where Dietrich reveals himself to be controlling the dead Radu's body. Dietrich shoots Ion with a bullet that sends him into a blood lust then throws Esther a silver sword. Ion begs Esther to kill him before he loses control of himself and kills on her, but Esther refuses.
Episode 19 - The Night Lords V. A Start of Pilgrimage
Sister Esther offers her blood to Earl Ion, but he uses the sword to regain control of himself then moves to kill himself to protect Esther. Father Abel shoots the sword from Ion's hand and releases them. As they, along with Duchess Astha, confront Duke Süleyman about his betrayal of Empress Augusta, Augusta herself appears along with Duchess Mirka, who was not dead but acting as a stand in for Augusta who few have ever seen. Augusta reveals herself to be Seth, the girl who helped Ion and Esther before and whom Süleyman had attempted to kill. Süleyman fires at her, but deliberately misses because he can't bring himself to kill her. However, when he fired at Augusta, Astha had fired at him giving him a fatal wound. Meanwhile, Abel confronts the Radu puppet and, in his 40% Crusnik form, appears to strike Radu a killing blow, but the puppet can't be stopped. Abel attempts to go to his 80% Crusnik form, but he collapses because he hasn't fed on enough blood. As Radu prepares to kill Abel, Seth arrives and uses her own Crusnik attack, the Fire of Sound, to save Abel, destroying the puppet.
Episode 20 - The Throne of Roses I. Kingdom of the North
Queen Brigitte II of Albion dies and no successor has been named, causing the country to be in danger of losing its independence. They ask the Vatican to send representatives to strengthen an alliance between them, so Sister Esther accompanies Pope Alessandro XVIII in the visit. Mary Spencer and Virgil Walsh give them a tour of the city, including The Ghetto, the underground factory of The Kingdom of Albion, manned entirely by enslaved Methuselah. During the tour, Virgil's sister Vanessa Walsh attempts to kidnap Alessandro, but Esther helps him escape while Virgil argues with Vanessa. When she learns Alessandro is missing, Cardinal Caterina asks Brother Petro and Sister Paula to help her AX agents find and protect him, fearing Francesco di Medici will let Alessandro be killed to promote a war between the humans and vampires.
Episode 21 - The Throne of Roses II. The Refuge
The AX agents enter The Ghetto through a secret entrance Father Abel shows them to search for Sister Esther and Pope Alessandro XVIII. Alessandro, scared and separated from Esther, ends up in the residential area of the underground city in the care of a girl named Angelica and other vampires who are not a part of the rebellion. While he rests, they tell him more about the situation in The Kingdom of Albion and the enslavement of the Methuselah. Angelica helps Alessandro gain some new confidence about his position and duties. She takes him to her secret place, but Vanessa finds him there and captures him. Meanwhile, while searching for Alessandro, Esther is caught in a trap set by Dietrich and he reveals his plans to end the world. Father Leon overhears some of the rebels saying they have Alessandro. Peter and Wendy appear and show him a way to the rebels' hideouts. He starts to leave them, but they are attacked by Dietrich's Death Hunters. Another one goes after Esther, but Abel saves her and sends her back above ground.
Episode 22 - The Throne of Roses III. Lord of Abyss
Brother Petro and Sister Paula find Vanessa and Pope Alessandro XVIII and quickly retrieve him. Petro starts to kill her, but Alessandro begs him not to. They leave Vanessa there and she returns to Virgil. Virgil tells Vanessa they can put their hope in the new generation, as she herself has just seen in Alessandro's action. Dietrich and the Rosenkreuz Orden begin attacking the underground city, while the Death Hunters go after Petro, Paula and Alessandro. Paula tries to hold them off while Petro carries Alessandro to safety, but when they end up surrounded they are saved by Vanessa. Meanwhile, Cain Nightroad attacks the palace, wounding Mary and killing many of the palace guards. Sister Esther follows him inside the palace as he descends underground where Father Abel is fighting Dietrich. When he arrives, Cain kills Dietrich for being a failure. Abel quickly attacks Cain, but Esther runs into the room, causing him to stop and giving Cain an opening to kill him. As he falls, Abel calls out Esther's name and she screams in agony.
Episode 23 - The Crown of Thorns I. City in the Mist
After the funeral of Father Abel, Sister Esther keeps vigil at his coffin, blaming herself for his death. Cardinal Caterina goes to Lilith Sahl's coffin and takes a green container from it, which she gives to Father Tres to take to The Kingdom of Albion. Virgil seals The Ghetto to protect the residents and an old space ship from the Rosenkreuz Orden. Cain makes plans to merge with Abel's body to get the codes necessary to activate the ship. Isaak launches an all-out aerial assault on The Kingdom of Albion. Virgil goes to find Esther and tells her that she is the one and only true heir to the throne of The Kingdom of Albion, the secret daughter of Queen Bridget II's assassinated son. She hesitates at first until she hears Abel's voice repeating what he told her when they first met. When they arrive in The Kingdom of Albion, Esther quickly calms a mob that had formed at the palace. The AX agents head after Isaak's airship. Their first attack proves useless, so Sister Kate Scott fires on it with the Iron Maiden, but the airship's shields easily deflect the blast.
Episode 24 - The Crown of Thorns II. The Lord of Oath
The AX agents, Brother Petro, Sister Paula, and Vanessa coordinate their efforts to use a flaw in the shield to shatter it when Isaak fires again, bringing the ship down though destroying a large part of the city as well. Sister Esther goes to Father Abel's coffin to find Father Tres pouring the contents of the tube into it. Cain arrives right behind Esther. Tres attacks him but is easily defeated. Cain tries to get Abel's body, but before he can, Abel activates his 100% Crusnik form and flies through a window. Cain activates his Crusnik form as well and pursues him. As they battle, Abel remembers Cain as he used to be. The fight ends in a draw after they simultaneously knock each other out of the sky as the sun rises. Esther is crowned queen of The Kingdom of Albion and blessed by Pope Alessandro XVIII. Together they pray for a new world where all people can live together. Abel, joined by Earl Ion, quietly leaves to continue hunting for Cain until he can kill him.

Abel, Ester, and Ion manage to escape, with Petro tagging along, to Catherina's palace. Once there, Ester treats Ion's injury, while he reflects on his memories about Radu.
Episode 14 - The Iblis III. A Mark of Sinner
Dietrich and a still living Radu take over control of The Department of Inquisition air ships and ground troops. Dietrich uses the ships to attack the city, while Radu goes after Father Abel, Sister Esther, Brother Petro and Earl Ion. He fires on the group with a tank and when the smoke clears, Esther, Petro, and Ion are laying in pools of blood, seemingly dead. Abel flies into a rage, activating his 80% Crusnik mode and feeding on Ion's spilled blood. He terrifies Radu, who is ill matched against Abel. Abel kills Radu and appears to be going to finish feeding on the rest of Ion's blood when Esther awakens and calls to him, helping him come back to his senses.
Episode 15 - The Night Lords I: The Return of Envoy
Father Abel and Sister Ester accompany Earl Ion back to Byzantium, the capital of The New Human Empire. They go to meet with the Duchess Mirka Fortuna, Duchess of Moldova and Ion's grandmother, only to find everyone in the mansion dead, including Mirka. While there they are attacked first by the minions of the Rosenkreuz Orden and later by soldiers from The New Human Empire who believe Ion is the one who murdered Mirka. They escape and find refuge at Duchess Astha's mansion.
Episode 16 - The Night Lords II. Twilight of the Capital
Father Abel and Duchess Astha head to Empress Augusta Vradica's palace for the meeting in an attempt to clear Earl Ion's name. Meanwhile, Sister Esther and Earl Ion search for Menmarl, a former servant of Countess Mirka, with some help from a young girl named Seth Nightlord. When Ester and Ion reach Menmarl's home, they find him badly wounded and dying. Before he dies, he tells Ion that Radu is the one who killed Mirka. They are attacked by a Death Hunter, a monster created by the Rosenkreuz Orden. Though Ion is able to kill it, Esther is badly injured during the battle. Seth reappears to help Ion treat Esther's wounds.
Episode 17 - The Night Lords III. The Island of her Darling Children
While Sister Esther is recovering from her injuries, Earl Ion encounters Radu again. Radu tells him he is going to assassinate Empress Augusta during the funeral of Duchess Mirka. He also taunts Ion with suspicions about Esther, telling him about the death of Esther's foster mother. Confused by her not telling him about it, and letting Radu's words get to him, he picks a fight with Esther. He leaves her to recover while he seeks out Radu to kill him before he can kill the Empress.
Episode 18 - The Night Lords IV. The Palace of Jade
Father Abel and Duchess Astha continue to try to stop the assassination attempt on Empress Augusta. Earl Ion recklessly tries kill Radu during the funeral procession, but is easily defeated. Radu moves to kill Ion, but then turns the blow aside at the last moment and instead tells Ion to flee and that the Order is conspiring to kill Augusta. Ion is confused by Radu's seeming change of heart, but then Radu attacks again. Esther arrives and tries to help but is captured as well. Augusta orders them to be taken for questioning, while Abel and Astha watch from nearby. As Abel and Astha continue on to the Moldova Mausoleum, an explosion kills Augusta. Esther and Ion are locked in a cell together where Dietrich reveals himself to be controlling the dead Radu's body. Dietrich shoots Ion with a bullet that sends him into a blood lust then throws Esther a silver sword. Ion begs Esther to kill him before he loses control of himself and kills on her, but Esther refuses.
Episode 19 - The Night Lords V. A Start of Pilgrimage
Sister Esther offers her blood to Earl Ion, but he uses the sword to regain control of himself then moves to kill himself to protect Esther. Father Abel shoots the sword from Ion's hand and releases them. As they, along with Duchess Astha, confront Duke Süleyman about his betrayal of Empress Augusta, Augusta herself appears along with Duchess Mirka, who was not dead but acting as a stand in for Augusta who few have ever seen. Augusta reveals herself to be Seth, the girl who helped Ion and Esther before and whom Süleyman had attempted to kill. Süleyman fires at her, but deliberately misses because he can't bring himself to kill her. However, when he fired at Augusta, Astha had fired at him giving him a fatal wound. Meanwhile, Abel confronts the Radu puppet and, in his 40% Crusnik form, appears to strike Radu a killing blow, but the puppet can't be stopped. Abel attempts to go to his 80% Crusnik form, but he collapses because he hasn't fed on enough blood. As Radu prepares to kill Abel, Seth arrives and uses her own Crusnik attack, the Fire of Sound, to save Abel, destroying the puppet.
Episode 20 - The Throne of Roses I. Kingdom of the North
Queen Brigitte II of Albion dies and no successor has been named, causing the country to be in danger of losing its independence. They ask the Vatican to send representatives to strengthen an alliance between them, so Sister Esther accompanies Pope Alessandro XVIII in the visit. Mary Spencer and Virgil Walsh give them a tour of the city, including The Ghetto, the underground factory of The Kingdom of Albion, manned entirely by enslaved Methuselah. During the tour, Virgil's sister Vanessa Walsh attempts to kidnap Alessandro, but Esther helps him escape while Virgil argues with Vanessa. When she learns Alessandro is missing, Cardinal Caterina asks Brother Petro and Sister Paula to help her AX agents find and protect him, fearing Francesco di Medici will let Alessandro be killed to promote a war between the humans and vampires.
Episode 21 - The Throne of Roses II. The Refuge
The AX agents enter The Ghetto through a secret entrance Father Abel shows them to search for Sister Esther and Pope Alessandro XVIII. Alessandro, scared and separated from Esther, ends up in the residential area of the underground city in the care of a girl named Angelica and other vampires who are not a part of the rebellion. While he rests, they tell him more about the situation in The Kingdom of Albion and the enslavement of the Methuselah. Angelica helps Alessandro gain some new confidence about his position and duties. She takes him to her secret place, but Vanessa finds him there and captures him. Meanwhile, while searching for Alessandro, Esther is caught in a trap set by Dietrich and he reveals his plans to end the world. Father Leon overhears some of the rebels saying they have Alessandro. Peter and Wendy appear and show him a way to the rebels' hideouts. He starts to leave them, but they are attacked by Dietrich's Death Hunters. Another one goes after Esther, but Abel saves her and sends her back above ground.
Episode 22 - The Throne of Roses III. Lord of Abyss
Brother Petro and Sister Paula find Vanessa and Pope Alessandro XVIII and quickly retrieve him. Petro starts to kill her, but Alessandro begs him not to. They leave Vanessa there and she returns to Virgil. Virgil tells Vanessa they can put their hope in the new generation, as she herself has just seen in Alessandro's action. Dietrich and the Rosenkreuz Orden begin attacking the underground city, while the Death Hunters go after Petro, Paula and Alessandro. Paula tries to hold them off while Petro carries Alessandro to safety, but when they end up surrounded they are saved by Vanessa. Meanwhile, Cain Nightroad attacks the palace, wounding Mary and killing many of the palace guards. Sister Esther follows him inside the palace as he descends underground where Father Abel is fighting Dietrich. When he arrives, Cain kills Dietrich for being a failure. Abel quickly attacks Cain, but Esther runs into the room, causing him to stop and giving Cain an opening to kill him. As he falls, Abel calls out Esther's name and she screams in agony.
Episode 23 - The Crown of Thorns I. City in the Mist
After the funeral of Father Abel, Sister Esther keeps vigil at his coffin, blaming herself for his death. Cardinal Caterina goes to Lilith Sahl's coffin and takes a green container from it, which she gives to Father Tres to take to The Kingdom of Albion. Virgil seals The Ghetto to protect the residents and an old space ship from the Rosenkreuz Orden. Cain makes plans to merge with Abel's body to get the codes necessary to activate the ship. Isaak launches an all-out aerial assault on The Kingdom of Albion. Virgil goes to find Esther and tells her that she is the one and only true heir to the throne of The Kingdom of Albion, the secret daughter of Queen Bridget II's assassinated son. She hesitates at first until she hears Abel's voice repeating what he told her when they first met. When they arrive in The Kingdom of Albion, Esther quickly calms a mob that had formed at the palace. The AX agents head after Isaak's airship. Their first attack proves useless, so Sister Kate Scott fires on it with the Iron Maiden, but the airship's shields easily deflect the blast.
Episode 24 - The Crown of Thorns II. The Lord of Oath
The AX agents, Brother Petro, Sister Paula, and Vanessa coordinate their efforts to use a flaw in the shield to shatter it when Isaak fires again, bringing the ship down though destroying a large part of the city as well. Sister Esther goes to Father Abel's coffin to find Father Tres pouring the contents of the tube into it. Cain arrives right behind Esther. Tres attacks him but is easily defeated. Cain tries to get Abel's body, but before he can, Abel activates his 100% Crusnik form and flies through a window. Cain activates his Crusnik form as well and pursues him. As they battle, Abel remembers Cain as he used to be. The fight ends in a draw after they simultaneously knock each other out of the sky as the sun rises. Esther is crowned queen of The Kingdom of Albion and blessed by Pope Alessandro XVIII. Together they pray for a new world where all people can live together. Abel, joined by Earl Ion, quietly leaves to continue hunting for Cain until he can kill him.
